Enertech is a Proud Participant in the 2012 Parade of Homes

Custom home builder, Enertech, is proud to participate in the 58th Annual Parade of Homes™ sponsored by the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin . One of only 5 builders featured, Enertech’s custom-designed home blends luxury with energy and resource efficiency and incorporates the natural beauty of the hill country.

Architectural plans have now been submitted for the home on the Overlook Estates in Southwest Austin. The plans typify Enertech’s approach of ‘intelligent design, intelligent construction’.

With a total living area of approximately 4,088 square feet, the open concept design integrates the indoor and outdoor spaces while maintaining the natural ecosystem of the site. Thirteen Live Oak trees will be preserved, used to provide shade and privacy for the  pool and party spa. Outdoor showers and private sunbathing areas further enhance the home’s natural feel. Walls of glass open up – allowing the exterior landscape to flow in and interior spaces to flow out so as to maximize natural breezes and ventilation.

The interior is designed as a high performance, energy efficient home that is liveable, durable and easy to maintain. Sculpted spaces include a casita with private garage; a large theater or art studio space and a two-car garage with double glass doors that opens into an outdoor entertaining area – a welcoming space for hearty parties and neighborly fun. The master suite hosts a bathroom and a “secret bathhouse” hidden behind a copper-shingled sliding door with views back to the master bed, pool, and a canopy of trees. Upstairs a curving gallery exhales into a giant double-balconied entertainment space, where unstoppable hill country views abound.

The zero-maintenance metal roofs harvest rainwater for irrigation of the garden courtyards and the polished concrete floors add elegance and help keep the home cool during the long Texas summers.

This year’s Parade of Homes™ will take place from October 27 through November 11.
